Easy Peazy Butterfly

This is an easy pattern to use up left over yarn. You can mix and match yarn colors, use the same color through or make each row different. The yarn size does not matter, I have used fingering, sport and worsted weight yarns to make different sized butterflies. The possibilities are endless.
Chain 6 and join to form a ring.

Row 1: Chain 3 (counts as DC), 2 DC, chain 2, *3 DC, Chain 2* repeat 6 times, Sl St to top of beginning chain 3. (8 clusters)
Row 2: Sl St to chain 2 space, chain 3, 2 DC, chain 2, 3 DC in same space, *in next space 3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC* repeat 6 more times, SL St to beginning chain.
Row 3: Sl St to chain 2 space, chain 3, 5 DC, chain 3 picot, 6 DC, *in next chain 2 space 6 DC, ch3 pigot, 6 DC* repeat 6 more times. Finish off. Weave in ends.
Fold in half. Use black or color pipe cleaner for body and antennae.

Each row can be done in a different color, if changing yarn color by row, simply end the row and finish off color. Attach new color in any chain 2 space.
